Our Philosophy
Our food aims to celebrate locally sourced, seasonal & award winning ingredients, available throughout The Cotswolds.
The Inn’s Executive Head Chef, Matt Wardman and his team have a strong “back to the land and no waste” attitude. Matt believes in using as much of each animal as possible with a selective, fresh menu. “Daily special’s are inspired by fresh ingredients available each morning from our local suppliers. We use meat from local
farms & game from local shoots. Often buying whole carcasses and doing the butchery on site, allowing us to use the whole animal from
the head to the tail, and be extremely creative with our seasonal menus.
“I truly believe it shows a great skill from any chef to be able
to create tasty and imaginative dishes out of the ‘lesser’ cuts of meat” Executive Head chef, Matt Wardman
In addition to our a la carte, lunch & dinner menus, we always have freshly made sandwiches at lunchtimes, delicious Sunday Roasts and a separate children’s menu. Lighter, fresher dishes in the summer & more robust, warming dishes during the winter with “A pie of the Day”
Locally roasted coffee and tea’s available in the mornings & Fossebridge Cream Tea’s in the afternoon
To be a friendly local country Cotswold Inn run by a passionate & creative team, offering the best in pub food & local ales
